Subdomains are a very easy way to grow your site into dedicated portions like forums or a gallery which feature an address like forums.example.com or gallery.example.com for direct access.

Adding a Subdomain

1. Login to cPanel

2. Click on Subdomains

3. Type the name of your subdomain (eg. forum)

4. From the dropdown menu on the right, select the domain to complete the record (eg. example.com)

5. Click Create

A new subdomain record will appear in the list below and a new folder will be created in your file structure to use the subdomain.

Removing a Subdomain

1. Login to your website control panel

2. Click on Sub-domains

3. Click Delete next to the entry you wish to remove

This will remove the subdomain, including any files or other information associated with that subdomain so ensure you have a backup prior to removal.
