Free SSL (Let's Encrypt, sslforfree.com)

Support

Last Update 4 years ago

The security padlock most browsers display with an HTTPS connection is a main trust factor for many websites. As such, it is expected that clients will want to obtain it for free, to ensure the trust of potential visitors and have a sense of security.

Unfortunately, the most popular free SSL (Social Security Layer, the certificate that secures a connection and adds the padlock), Let's Encrypt, is not supported on our free hosting. This is because of our security system, which prevents the LE bot from accessing the file required for verification.

For that reason, Let's Encrypt is not implemented in free hosting.

But if you own your own domain name, you can use Free Ssl Space (cname verification) or Cloudflare.

If you use subdomain you can use Free Ssl Space (cname verification).
